Hi Guy's,

I downloaded the program which looks great at the first instance but does have a lot of bugs. I have a BB Pearl 8100 and here are some of the problems I am seeing, there may be a solution which is there somewhere but I have not seen any posting on this.

a) When I get in the chat mode and try to type the message using Sure Text and once I type off the first word and press the space bar for the next word, guess what, the cursor goes to the second letter of the first word I had typed!! I tried to chage from Sure Text to Multi tap and it works well. Any clue what is going on over here?

b) My son and my wife are both online with their Skype accounts and we are in the same house, however both of them show as offline and I cannot chat with them? How can I be sure this would work when I am traveling and my wife or son wants to chat with me or the other way round, they would feel they are online line (which they are) and I do not see them?

regards,

sanjay

Hi, Sanjay,

You are right that there is a problem with Suretype. We are aware of it. Please try and be patient and use multitap for now.

As to your second point, often users will show up offline even when they are online. This is the result of issues with the version of skype we use. It often takes a long time for contacts to update. This should NOT affect your ability to call or chat with these contacts. Please can you check and see if you can chat with or call them.

Good luck  Smiley

Hi Anotny,

Thanks for your message and appreciate your inputs. I will wait till the issue with Sure Text gets resoved. Another question, I am based out in India and whenever I want to talk to a skype contact who is online it takes me to a International number +16....... and then it connects me to the Skype contact, my question, to make this call to the Skype contact would I have to pay for the International Call? I do not want to land up in a situation where I get a 500$ bill from my phone company for making IDD calls.

regards,

sanjay

Hi Sanjay,

Unfortunately, we don't have a local number in India due to government regulations. This would mean that using iSkoot for calls to your contacts  will incur international charges.

However, chat messages are still available to you without big charges.

Sorry I can't be of more help. Huh?

Dear Sir:

I have a question, when I chating with my Chinese countryman using Chinese character, the contact receive nothing but some symbols. But I can see the Chinese characters from their message.
But if I use English to chat with them, they can see the English.

why like this?
